The frozen corpse of a young apprentice monk is found near Kirara Hill in Rakuhoku. Detective Hayakawa from the Kyoto Prefectural Police grows suspicious of the fact that someone froze to death in the middle of summer and visits his nephew Saburo, who works at a cryogenics research institute. Shortly after, the frozen body of Saburo’s father, Takayoshi, is also discovered. Recently, Takayoshi had been closely involved with a designer named Saori.

A high school girl is invited to an old family's historic Hinamatsuri (Girls' Festival), but becomes entangled in an anomaly caused by the curse of the Hina dolls.

The search in the cold takes a toll on Jeremy until Santa Claus appears, but is it really him?

He learns Mitsubayashi had been near haunted Hirozawa Pond, where Yashiro shares ghost tales from the Heian period. Later, Chizuko dies in a similar, eerie manner. Ghosts tied to the Tengu of Atago-yama warn Kyoko, Hatoko, and Saori about strange events. Chizuko and Mitsubayashi’s deaths resemble vampire attacks, linked to the vengeful spirit Shuhime. Kagamiko, Hatoko, and Saori search Mitsubayashi’s ransacked apartment while being spied on. Hauntings intensify, revealing a spirit named Mayumi as Princess Akemi’s ghost.

Strange events plague the Aoyama family's residence, led by samurai Aoyama Harima. Directed by Shinji Aoyama, this NHK documentary follows avant-garde jazz trumpeter Toshinori Kondo as he traces the footsteps of the poet Matsuo Bashō. Blending music, landscape, and literature, the film captures Kondo’s improvisational soundscapes against the spiritual terrain of Kumano, evoking a dialogue between past and present, poetry and performance.
