This drama comes from one of Germany's greatest contemporary directors, Peter Lilienthal; and is one of the few to be released outside of the country. While Kiki's friend Markus fights for her release together with her mother, Kiki begins an affair with one of the kidnappers. When the two women were released after 72 days on payment of ransom, the police suspected that they had colluded with the kidnappers.
