1000 ways to eat an egg

The film humorously recounts the adventures of three young friends, now in full quarantine, who arrive in Valencia to fulfill the last wishes of a fourth friend, and older sister of one of them, who had died a year earlier. The trip, which seems directed from beyond by the dead woman, becomes a double adventure. A comic adventure, in which the ashes, first in an urn and then in a luxurious handbag, take center stage, and a dramatic adventure, that of the reunion of the friends with an old love of youth, their former coach of gymnastics, which will cause a decisive transformation in all of them. A reunion that will serve to close old wounds and overcome personal conflicts and to realize that after forty life has only just begun

When Banana Ruled

The abusive harvest of a simple fruit built an empire: the United Fruit Company. A fruit that conquered the markets of the world, but devastated Central America. The story of a ruthless enterprise, without borders or rules to respect, except the cruel law of supply and demand…

Edge of Obedience

Ahmad Zakii Anwar may well be Malaysia's best-known artist. He became famous for his photo-realistic animal pictures, still life paintings and expressive portraits, which offer a timeless reinterpretation of modern Asian society. This documentary looks at the way Zakii's art continues to defy convention in an increasingly radical Islamic world. Ahmad Zakii Anwar's paintings of naked male bodies are both provocative and fascinating, especially in a country like Malaysia, where Islamic Sharia law prevails. It is a society that still regards nakedness and even being different as taboo. The 63-year-old Anwar, who is one of Malaysia's most sought-after artists in Western countries, sees himself as an urban realist looking for confrontation. It is the first time a documentary has looked at the painter and his work in detail and examined its meaning in both a radicalizing society and a liberal one.

White Peaks of Siberia

French author Sylvain Tesson pays tribute to the heroes of the Russian Revolution as he crosses the Pamir mountain range in Tajikistan, which boasts a multitude of peaks at more than 7,000m. They will have the occasion to look back on some of the major figures and events of the Revolution. Lenin Peak, Revolution Peak, Karl Marx Peak, and also the October Glacier and the Soviet Officer range – all names which evoke the Revolution in these remarkable yet little-known locations. He is accompanied by two friends, author and lover of all things Russian, Cédric Gras, and the former Soviet mountaineering instructor, Nicolay Taran. Along the way, the author and his traveling companions observe the traces left by the former USSR on daily life here, and they listen to the memories of the populations who live in the Pamirs, whether Kyrgyz nomads on the high plateaus or Ismailis in the valleys. For Sylvain Tesson, the journey will serve as a source of inspiration for his future writing.
