Dear Farrish: a tale of two friends

follow the diverging lives of two young men—Braeden, who embraces feminism, and Sean, who clings to patriarchal ideals—and traces the impact of their choices across three generations. As Braeden’s lineage rises through compassion and progress, culminating in a grandson poised to lead, Sean’s family is weighed down by emotional repression and generational pain. In a poignant final encounter, the grandsons of these opposing legacies meet on the street—one broken, the other hopeful—and the cycle of division is challenged by a single, transformative act of empathy.

Britain Shoulder Arms

After the Great War of 1914-1918 Britain was left with one predominant desire--to live in peace. Fifteen years later, however, world-stirring events brought a new threat to democracy and a new spirit became evident at the Ministry of War. The ranks of the Regular Army were expanded by an intensive recruiting campaign. As the war-clouds gathered Britain forsook the traditional system of voluntary recruiting and adopted compulsory service, thus ensuring that if the need arose a vast army could rapidly be set on the march. When war did break out, the Army was ready, and it was able to embark for service overseas with efficiency and confidence.

Gallipoli: The New Zealand Story

This documentary tells the stories of the New Zealand soldiers who were part of the identity-defining Gallipoli campaign in World War I. In the ill-fated mission to take a piece of Turkish coastline, 2721 New Zealanders died with 4752 wounded. As part of research, every one of the then-surviving Gallipoli veterans living in New Zealand was interviewed, with 26 finally filmed. Shot at a barren, rocky Gallipoli before the advent of Anzac Day tourism, this important record screened on Easter Sunday 1984, and won a Feltex Award for Best Documentary.

While Jack is away, a malicious, drunken guerrilla (a rogue intruder) discovers Dorothy alone at home and forces his way inside. Dorothy manages to hide in a room, desperately barricading herself as the intruder tries to break through the door. She frantically signals for help.
