The carefree and somewhat idyllic life of a ten year old boy named Marijan is violently interrupted when war ravages his small town of Dalj and his families closest friends and neighbors turn on them purely because they are Croatian. Marijan is forced to witness and experience things an adult would have an incredibly difficult time dealing with. He is nevertheless faced with the inexplicably horrid events war brings out in people. The story centers on a present day Marijan- now the very successful owner of a wood manufacturing business. On one random day a man walks into his store and all of the memories he wishes he could long forget come flooding back, forcing him to relive them. Despite his immense hardships, Marijan lives on in forgiveness, always seeking the positives that lay in the future rather than rehashing and remaining in the past.

G-Day

June 1944. Europe is torn apart by war, and preparations are underway for the Normandy landings. Denis Porte continues his daily work with dedication at a British military base... which is fake. His mission: to move fake soldiers around every day and thus deceive the enemy. In the Porte family, there is a tendency for fathers and sons to die as heroes for France. So there is no question of Porte taking the slightest risk for his mother. Looking after a fake base is the most she will tolerate for her son. But after meeting Sami, an Algerian doctor who dreams of meeting De Gaulle, they decide during a drunken evening to take part. They set off bravely (and with quite a few drinks under their belts). Except that they don't have the right date or the right place. Add to that a hero who doesn't want to expose himself to danger. On D-Day, or almost...

Our War

Between February and April 2025, filmmakers Bernard-Henri Lévy and Marc Roussel filmed the Pokrovsk and Soumy fronts in eastern Ukraine, following the fighters of the Anne de Kyiv Brigade, armed by France. They filmed the daily lives of the inhabitants, bombarded by Russian forces terrorizing civilians on the eve of possible negotiations. They interview President Zelenskyy, who is reluctant to travel to Washington, and then watch the rebroadcast of the meeting with Ukrainian soldiers in a bunker. For the real heroes are the anonymous fighters and civilians who hold their heads high in the face of adversity and suffering, and who are filmed on a daily basis. The final part of Lévy’s “Ukrainian Quartet”, Our War is a diary, peppered with flashbacks in which the author recalls the high points of this war that began in 2014.

Hunting Grounds

In a semi-post-apocalyptic world, chaos reigns after the sudden and mysterious death of the president, leaving the nation in shambles. Military factions, once unified, splinter into rogue groups, each pursuing their own agendas in the absence of leadership. Society collapses into pure lawlessness as civilians are forced to fend for themselves, grappling with food shortages, territorial disputes, and the looming threat of violence. Urban areas become battlegrounds of desperation, where survival hinges on cunning and strength, and trust is a dangerous gamble. This gritty, high-stakes setting explores a world where the balance of power has disintegrated, leaving behind fractured alliances and a population struggling to navigate the moral ambiguities of survival. Themes of betrayal, conspiracy, and the fight for purpose in a broken system drive the tension, as individuals confront the harsh reality of what humanity becomes when order dissolves into chaos.

Про людей и про войну

The Great Patriotic War. Ordinary situations cannot seriously influence the course of the global world conflict, which unfolded on thousands of kilometers of the front of a vast country, in which tens of millions of soldiers are participating. But it was the human qualities of everyone who stood to the death with weapons in their hands in this harsh time, where all the forces of good and evil came together, and everyone was ready to do anything for the sake of victory, that became the force that crushed Nazism.

Homs - Syrie, la vie d’après

After twelve years in exile, Syrian journalist and filmmaker Daham Alasaad returns to Homs, devastated by the war in Syria. Once the city of his childhood, it is now a relic of an authoritarian regime, where different communities (Sunnis, Christians, Alawites) are trying to rebuild their lives together after terrible years of division and destruction. Thanks to Daham Alasaad's close relationship with the city's inhabitants, the director highlights some very moving characters, torn between grief, fear, the need for justice, and the desire for peace and reconciliation. By opening up naturally to the camera, they allow viewers to experience what Syrians of all backgrounds are going through today. "Homs-Syria, Life After" is a personal and political investigation into the ability of this symbolic city to rebuild hope on the ruins of a Syria ravaged by more than fifteen years of war and facing an uncertain future.
