Ramer Sumati

Kalki

Chellammaa (Geetha), a singer, is wedded to a chauvinistic, sadistic industrialist named Prakash (Prakash Raj). She is unable to beget a child and hence is the target of hurting words from Prakash and his mother. When he prohibits her from singing, it is the last straw for her and they divorce. He marries Karpagam (Renuka), a doormat wife, while Chellammaa stays single, with a cook Kokila (newsreader Fathima Babu in her first movie appearance) around to help her. Kalki (Shruti) works in an ad agency and is relentlessly pursued by co-worker and model Paranjothi (Rahman) but she not only rejects him but debunks love and sentiments. Chellammaa becomes friends with Kalki after a few encounters and Kalki moves in as a paying guest. But she strikes up a friendship with Prakash and as the result of an affair with him, she ends up bearing his child. What happens of this leads up to the climax.

Kiraathaka

Chellakannu

Chellakannu and Chandra are cousins, they loved each other since their childhood. Chandra leaves the village for studying when she is back, their family tries to marry them. Dhandapani , Chellakannu's father, is the village Panchayat headman, punishes Rajavel for his bad behaviour towards a woman. Rajavel and his father Kailasam decide to take revenge and to create a conflict between Dhandapani and Thangavel , Chandra's father. At the village Panchayat, Thangavel is punished by Dhandapani for a crime he did not commit. Kailasam and Rajavel succeed their plan. Being humiliated, Thangavel cancels his daughter's marriage. Thangavel becomes friend with Kailasam and Thangavel registers with the Panchayat headman's election. Dhandapani wins the election. Thangavel arranges Chandra's marriage with Rajavel but realizes that Rajavel is a womaniser and cancels the marriage with Dhandapani's help. The rest of the story is what happens to Chellakannu and Chandra.

Two Generations

One of the early films of Chhabi Biswas featuring him as a leading man, before he came to be associated with the dominating patriarch roles that have become iconic in Bengali cinema, the film is a tale of the love, relationships and ideals of two generations. Nutubihari is an idealist who has given up his love for Kalyani for the sake of his beliefs. He marries Bimala and becomes a lawyer, fighting for the rights of the poor against the feudal lords. Meanwhile, Kalyani comes to ask refuge after she becomes a widow and is inexplicably accepted by Bimala with a lot of warmth. As the years pass Kalyani's daughter Mamata and Nutu's oldest son Arun fall in love and wish to get married. However, the new-found fame and fortune turns his head and Nutu begins to resemble all the ideals and vices that he had always despised. On the other hand in an ironical turn of events, Arun comes to occupy the position once held by his father, highlighting the generational conflict of ideals.

He tells that the day he was talking to Nayana he had a small accident and discovered that he had cancer which cannot be treated. As the film ends, everybody cry including Nayana who says that she knew about his cancer.
