Angel and Satan

Anuch's father raped Krao's mother. The mother came home ashamed to face her husband, and so hanged herself. The husband was sadden by the death of his wife so he shot himself. Krao was around 10 years old and witnessed his parents' deaths so he vowed revenge on Anuch's family. 20 years later, Krao plots to revenge the family by making the oldest brother in debt and have an affair with his wife. He also courted the 2nd sister and make her break up with her boyfriends. Anuch is the youngest sister. He couldn't do anything to her because she's strong and sees through his scam so he made a deal with her, that if she married him, then all the affairs and meddling with her family will stop.

On the isle of Rhodes, Katherine, an expatriate English photographer, lives with her daughter. A young local wants to encourage tourism, so he commissions a sculpture of the Unknown Tourist for the town square; the sculptor he brings to Rhodes is Kate's ex-husband. Also there to see Kate is Sharp, an aging antiquarian and her dear friend. He has something important to tell her. As Kate, her ex, and Sharp sort out things that go back years, two English tourists bumble about, one thinking he's fallen in love with Kate, his wife thinking she's found her own lover. A rare vase, a spy, old friendships, the statue's unveiling, and off-hand English sorting-out play into the resolution.

Platon Ryabinin, a pianist, is traveling by train to a distant town of Griboedov to visit his father. He gets off to have lunch during a twenty minute stop at Zastupinsk railway station. He meets Vera, a waitress, after he refuses to pay her for the disgusting food he doesn't even touch and misses his train due to police investigation of the incident. His passport is then accidentally taken away from him by Andrei, Vera's fiancé, and his money is stolen as he waits for the next train to Griboedov. Vera learns that Platon is about to get sentenced and sent to prison in the Far East for a car accident he isn't guilty for. During the few days that Platon has to spend in Zastupinsk he and Vera develop feelings for each other...

In France in the near future, revolt and chaos erupt.
