What's on your menu? Ho and Fung explore the intracices of Chinese dessert as their friendship blossoms into romance. Their happiness, however, is short-lived. Feeling unaccepted by those around them, the couple embark on an increasingly perilous journey featuring hallucinations, jaywalking and unorthodox conversion therapy. Will their love triumph in the end?

During the Warring States Period, Nung-yuk, the Princess of Qin, denounces the mundane world and dreams of marrying an immortal. This extends to her criteria for choosing a husband: excelling in flute playing. Once, she is captivated by the tune 'Three Melodies of Rainbow Dress' and mistakes the qin player Siu Sze for a fairy. Yuk then persuades Sze to sit the national exam for a better future. Sze's music attracts hundred of birds. Yuk returns to the palace pleading with her father Esquire Muk to agree to their marriage. Despite the Empress Dowager's opposition, Yuk leads a secluded life with Siu afar; a noble breed thus living a hard life. The King lets her go, only granting an annual visit. A year later, Yuk and her husband returns for a visit. The Queen still wants to break them up. Later, Jin State sends people to discover the whereabouts of their Princes. Siu is in fact the Prince of Jin. With Muk’s blessings, Siu marries Yuk in Jin, a marriage which brings peace to both states.

Forced to wear dresses and behave in a certain way against her will at her stepfather’s dinners, 13-year-old Ling meets Kitty, a rebellious 17-year-old, and is fascinated by the older girl who seems unfettered by any rule. As the two girls become close, Ling experiences a sexual awakening and wants to play the role of Kitty’s keeper. But things get complicated when Kitty’s former boyfriend appears on the scene. Full of angst, this coming-of-age story traverses the painful rites of passage of adolescent loneliness and sexual longing. Love is Elsewhere is a 2008 Hong Kong romantic drama film directed by Vincent Chiu.

Yimin, the son of a carriage driver of Xinjiang ethnicity, is in love with Malihan. Malihan's father despises Yimin for his lowly background and forces his daughter to marry Bulate. Min then leaves town for development for 5 years and comes back as an army officer. However, Han has been forced to engage with Te. With Han defying the arrangement, Te challenges Min to a duel. Min catches the bullet meant for Te and wins him and Han's father to his side. But when war beckons, he sacrifices love to join the army. After the war, Min goes back to his hometown but everything has changed. Han and her whole family have gone without a trace. Min can only recall the past alone.

Upon becoming Prince Regent, the bellicose Lord Biu of Wu sends commander-general Si Ching-wan to rage wars between the Zhao and Chen Kingdoms. A small state that is long on literary excellence but short on military might, Chen is defenceless against the invading forces. The compassionate general answers the pleading of the Chen princess, Fung-ming, to sign a treaty of peace. In his speech to the lord, Deputy General Lau Mo-yeung accuses Si of treason so as to lay claim to Chen. The lord dispatches the valiant fighter Lui Chen-sing to Chen on an assassination mission, but the assassin is vanquished. Si prevails on Lui of his patriotism. Lord Biu fights Chen. In a dire attempt to redeem Chen, Si surrenders to the Wu camp. Lui pretends to have blinded Si to extricate him. The duo ally with a band of chivalrous fighters to overturn the corrupt regime. Dispossessed of his throne, Biu commits suicide. Si returns to his land to serve as an aide to the young king and marry Fung-ming.

Set in contemporary Hong Kong, the film shifts between time and space, past and present, fact and fiction through Tsang's continued exploration of language and misinterpretation.

The Prime Minister's daughter, Kong Yeuk-mui, is attracted by the private tutor, Chow Yuk-pui. However, the Prime Minister despises Pui's lowly background and banishes him. Kong disowns her father, hoping to marry Pui when he achieves honours in the imperial exam. Meanwhile, Mui's brother Tak-chu prepares for the exam under Pui's tutorship. Pui and Chu, take the money Mui gives them and head for the capital. Unfortunately, Pui has himself fallen ill. Considering that the examination day is approaching, he gives all the travel expenses to Chu and urges him to set off. Mui resides at Loquat Alley, longing for Pui's honourable return. One day, she comes across a beggar, when she recognises it is Pui, her heart breaks. Chu who has newly been appointed Top Scholar, arrives and tells her sister the whole story. Nevertheless, Pui's sister is chosen to be the imperial concubine. Benefiting from this bond, Pui becomes the Royal Brother and works as the court secretary and weds Mui.

Drama about a young Chinese girl who arrives in London to pursue her dreams, and the three men who fall for her. In order to study music, Lan Lan must marry her sponsor's son, for whom she has no affection. She eventually takes flight and befriends a Chinese engineer and his flatmate. Together they set up an illegal Chinese food takeaway, but as the business flourishes, the tensions in their relationship surface.

While making a harsh statement on those who exploited the national crisis to get rich, Tang Xiaodan portrayed vividly the sorrow and joy of the working class as well as an altruistic utopianism. The film begins with a song by Leung Mo-sik that describes the severity of war and the hardships endured by common people, intercut with real footages from war zones. The anti-war sentiment of the film is less political in nature and imbued with grave and genuine concern for the poor.

A sweet and daring portrait of blurred sexuality and love complications, this independent feature tells the story of Dennis and Aggie, pals since primary school and roommates for five years. He works in a painting studio while she’s a photographer and aspiring filmmaker. Both are gay, but inseparable as friends. Matters become tense, however, when Dennis announces an arranged marriage and Aggie finds herself increasingly jealous.

A seemingly innocent romance between two people is destroyed by reality in Step on Grass. Under most circumstances, “she” and “he” would be together happily ever after. However, the problem is that “she” is a teacher, and “he” is her student. The nature of their relationship may be pure, but society will always see it as improper due to their identities. Soon, one step in the wrong path sends their lives further spiraling out of control, and “she” is forced to make a decision.

Shenyang, in deep winter snow. Two promising 12-year-old Beijing opera students, Dong (‘winter’ in Chinese) and Nuannuan (literally meaning ‘warmth’) are practising their stage moves diligently and fervently in order to secure their place in an upcoming performance in the capital. Nuannuan has a crush on Dong but Dong is lost in a daze – of a muted longing for his dead mother and a nameless affection for the girl’s young aunt – which unfolds in the juxtaposing scenes of a lone balloon drifting away and a colourful kite soaring into the sky. The train is soon to leave for Beijing, a fond farewell has been bided. Dong has to make his journey, with or without Nuannuan.

In this deeply moving tale, a wealthy young man, Tak (Pak Wan), falls in love with his aunt’s servant, Ling (Pak Yin). However, their relationship is cut short by the stark difference in their social statuses. Unbeknownst to Tak, Ling becomes pregnant and is cruelly cast out of her employer’s household, facing the stigma of unmarried motherhood. Tragedy soon follows as her child suffers from an acute illness, forcing Ling into prostitution to survive. Her plight worsens when she is falsely accused of murdering a client who has, in fact, committed suicide. When Tak, now a lawyer, learns of her suffering, he returns to seek justice for her.

Musical comedy from Hong Kong directed by Chiang Wai-Kwong.

Chan Kwai-sheung visits the brothel with So Tung-bo while his wife, Lau Yuk-ngo, is sleeping. As this is the first time Sheung did this, Ngo wants him to suffer and so makes him wear a lamp on his head. During the Lantern Festival, the Emperor has fun with his officials. After a few drinks, Bo says that Ngo has lost the virtues of a woman. Ngo immediately appeals to the Emperor. All the women there, including the Empress, say that Bo should be punished. Bo is unhappy and invites his cousin, Kam Cho, seduce Sheung to make Ngo unhappy. Sheung, a philanderer, schemes to take Cho as his concubine. Ngo finds out and beats him. Bo urges Sheung to divorce Ngo. Ngo is furious and lodges a complaint with the imperial court. The Emperor allows Sheung to have a concubine. Ngo pleads that she would rather drink poison than let Sheung take a concubine. Feeling remorseful, Sheung drinks the poison after his wife. Fortunately, the queen has switched the poison with vinegar. The couple reconciles.

A lonely traffic warden falls in love with a mysterious delivery boy and found out they are sharing the unusualness of synesthesia. The mysterious delivery boy believes that all the five senses are intimately connected in one pattern, if he could find a person who shares the same pattern with him, he could fall into the other side of the reality. The traffic warden has to choose if she is going to take a leap of faith or staying comfortably in this lonely boring reality.

In 2018, Hin takes an accidental fall. Upon awakening, he finds that he has time traveled back to 2013 when he was studying at university and first met his girlfriend, Joyce. Hin believes that this time rift is a heaven-sent opportunity to help him prevent his father from indulging in gambling and making a life-changing mistake. He also views it as a chance to save Joyce and change his destiny.

The film depicts the star, Ayumi Hamasaki, as herself on a tour in Hong Kong with local actor Shawn Yue as her bodyguard, whom Hamasaki later falls in love with as the film progresses. It depicts the fame aspect of her love life and the inevitable heartbreak towards the end.

Bill Wong was a professional debt collector until he met the lovable Lok Hui, one of his debtors. Instead of doing what he usually does best, he decides to help Lok through her tough situations. They develop a mutual affection for each other and Bill’s gangster boss’s become aware of this situation, resulting in Bill getting caught between the rock and a hard place.

When Yui began her relationship with Yat, she thought she had found her one and only. However, things begin to change when Benjamin, her previous boyfriend, reappeared.

From Hong Kong, with love! High School class president Wisdom taunts Hei, a fellow classmate, over Hei's hidden love for Ling, the campus queen. Ching, Hei's childhood friend, cannot stand these taunts and assists Hei to form a committee in the Student Union to oppose Wisdom for the position of class president...as well as the right to pursue Ling.

In 2003, I came to Hong Kong and hung out at bars a lot. Soon I became obsessed with a beer girl Yun. On a whim, I decided to make a film to document our love. I asked Hengzhi to Play “me” in the film, as Yun’s boyfriend. Unexpectedly, what happened on screen became true. Yun and Hengzhi clung together. One day, Yun left a note and disappeared without a trace.

Two young lovers marry despite their parents' objections.

Yeung Tsz-wai, a loner, formed a bond with Lam Cheuk-yin during school lunches and soon looked forward to that time each day. She admired Cheuk-yin but grew discouraged by his ambiguity and developed feelings for his friend, Chu Chi-kit. When Cheuk-yin discovered this, all three fell out. Years later, Tsz-wai, meeting Cheuk-yin again, realized her mistakes.

As the wealthy Ha Mung Shan nears death, he asks his son, Chung Ping, to marry his fiancée, Ng Yuk Keng. However, Yuk Keng loves Chung Ping’s brother, Bo Ming. To avoid upsetting his father, Chung Ping pretends that a singer, Su Qiu, is Yuk Keng and brings her home. Meanwhile, Yuk Keng’s aunt, Xing Hong, covets her father’s inheritance and attempts to kill Su Qiu, framing Chung Ping. Su Qiu survives, cared for by the Fu family. Later, Xing Hong kills Yuk Keng to live with Bo Ming, but he refuses. Taking the inheritance, Xing Hong stays with the Fu family and regrets her actions. Ha Mung Shan then arranges a new marriage for Chung Ping. Su Qiu, seeking revenge, disguises herself as a ghost on the wedding night, exposing the truth. Bo Ming confronts Chung Ping, and Xing Hong confesses her guilt. Mung Shan realizes Bo Ming is his son, and Chung Ping reunites with Su Qiu, leading to a happy ending.

Hoi is a van driver who was a photographer before COVID-19. One day, he received a message from his ex-girlfriend Yin, who had already migrated. They met on the night before she left Hong Kong again. After separating for a few years, the discussion on the long-forgotten love seemed to be the hidden agenda of this night. The two individuals, who had already embarked on completely different journeys in life, had to find a way out for their complicated relationship.

He meets her on a journey with no destination. She talks to him in the station; they have fun and stay together in Tokyo, until finally he leaves. But when he thinks back over those days when they were still together, he cannot understand anything she said.

A room, rented different love men and women, in the most basic needs of life to eat and drink, love in the human nature will be what?
