Kimi to boku

"Junai" is a bar run by Okama's mom and is crowded day and night with male and female couples and gay men. The Miss Pure Love Contest is scheduled to be held soon, and Yamakawa, a regular customer who is obsessed with Kimitaro, an employee of the store, boasts that Kimitaro will be the one chosen again this year. Kimitaro, who had an early shift that day, left Goro, his junior, to handle the rest of the customer service, and got into the car of his girlfriend, Yukio, who had come to pick him up. The two went to see the sea at night and kissed in the car without paying attention to the people around them.

The Poem of Love and Revolution ~Andrea Chénier~

This is the story of a poet who lived at the time of the French Revolution. The poet's name was Andrea Chénier. He lived and died amongst love and bloodshed. The numerous words of truth spun by this revolutionary poet became poems for eternity. Even today, they continue to shine light on the hopes that rest in people's hearts. The tidal wave of the times, when everyone believes that the ideal kind of society has arrived, will in time move in the wrong direction. Ironically, Andrea and Maddalena will be joined together by a thing called love. Idealism, which has been pushed to the forefront of reality, is toying with Gérard's life. Before long, a raging torrent that provides an omen of the tragedy to come will overwhelm all three of them.

The Beauty and the Dumb

Anatole France's The Man Who Married a Dumb Wife has been adapted into three different Hong Kong films in the 1950s alone. These two adaptations stray from the source material considerably in genre, characterisation and plot, turning a farce about married life into localised romantic comedies that emphasise family values. The Beauty and the Dumb follows the couple from their meet-cute to the misunderstandings they encounter before the inevitable happy ending. The heir of a bank (Huang He) falls in love at first sight with one of the employees' daughter (Li Lihua), but their burgeoning relationship is nearly derailed when the girl's father intervenes to help his dumb daughter land a rich husband.
