A modern take on an old folk tale. The musical retains the characters and motifs of the well-known tale by Alexander Rowe, but adds new plot collisions and characters.

Insatiable lust reigned over senseless flesh. Like august flies, trying to escape certain death, people before the apocalypse started to copulate, until every single one was completely exhausted. Only two people remained untouched. Having merged, like Salmacis and Hermaphroditus, in music that gave them eternal life, they wander timeless, empty spaces. Their destiny - to save humanity. But humanity means nothing to them. Main characters of the movie, Kirill Shirokov and Sasha Elina, are real musicians and founders of 'the same' ensemble, specialized in performing quite music related to certain space and time. During the film they perform music from ‘every day melodies’ series composed by Kirill Shirokov. The movie is the first part of mini-series discovering the territory of contemporary art music.

La Bayadère is a three-act ballet by the French choreographer Marius Petipa. Set in 19th-century India, La Bayadère tells the sad love story of the noble warrior Solor and his Nikiya, a temple dancer or 'bayadère', who is poisoned by her rival, Gamzatti. This production of the ballet features the revised choreography by Vladimir Ponomarev and Vakhtang Chabukiani (1941), and includes dances by Konstantin Sergeyev and Nikolai Zubkovsky. The ballet’s music, composed by Ludwig Minkus, is performed by the Mariinsky Orchestra under the direction of Boris Gruzin. Among the performers are Viktoria Tereshkina, Anastasia Matvienko, Vladimir Shklyarov, and Vladimir Ponomarev. This performance was recorded at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, in July 2014.

Many many words have been written and a few ingenious TV documentaries have been filmed about the great Russian rock band Auktyon, which recently celebrated 30 years of playing music. The B-2 World Tour “Event Horizon” started in the fall of 2017 after the release of the record of the same name. For two years, the band played about 100 concerts in Russia, Belarus, the Baltic States, Europe and Israel. The Moscow concert presentation of the album was named the show of the year at the Chartova Dozen 2018 award ceremony, and the second metropolitan show Horizon of Events was the record holder in terms of the number of spectators, gathering 30,000 fans. In this film, the participants of the "Bi-2" and the organizers of the show will talk about how the "Horizon of Events" was created in the studio and on the stage - they will talk about the album, and the tour in support of it, and about the great Moscow concerts. The reopening show of the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theatre by Jurowski and Tcherniakov. This reopening inspired the director Dmitri Tcherniakov, who signed the direction of this new production. The new devices of the Bolshoi Theatre and its two giant screens are fully exploited in a spectacular staging. Tcherniakov transposes Glinka s opera at the 21th century with contemporary ambitions because of the "modernity of the subject", trying there to put forward "the deep feelings of the characters , exposing the protagonists to very modern temptations: a "harem" for Ruslan, a Thai massage for Lyudmila.

Blending classic literature references, mind-bending introspection, musings on modern love and an ironic attitude to their act, they create what faithful fans and listeners call “existential rap.” The film follows Makulatura on tour through several Russian cities.

His final piece, “The Komarovo Waltz”, unveiled here for the very first time, was written as a tribute to the place. The film is the reclusive composer’s eulogy to the community. It also serves as Karavoichuk’s farewell to audience as well as his last address and reminder of things that are truly important – love for your fellow man and virgin nature.
