"Ao Vivo em Copacabana" (English: Live in Copacabana) is the first live album by the Brazilian recording artist Claudia Leitte, in her solo career. The DVD was recorded during a single concert performed on February 17, 2008, at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro in front of more than one million people.

The film follows the dancers from the celebrated touring show Stomp around the world as they collaborate with musicians and dancers from Spain, Brazil, South Africa, and many other countries and cultures (including a number of diverse North American traditions).

New Order's groundbreaking fusion of postpunk/new wave rock, synth-pop and dance music made them one of the most influential bands of the 1980s. After sitting out much of the '90s, they reemerged with acclaimed albums in 2001 (Get Ready) and 2005 (Waiting For The Sirens' Call), and in late 2006, performed a rare and celebratory two-night stand in Glasgow, Scotland.

This DVD of a live 2005 performance from the Zürich Opera under the musical direction of Franz Welser-Möst has many things to recommend it -- the young tenor Piotr Beczala as Alfredo, the marvelous Thomas Hampson as Giorgio Germont, the playing of the Zurich Opera orchestra, the simple but effective sets by by Erich Wonder, the uncluttered stage direction by Jürgen Flimm. It also has some flaws: strangely variable volume level of the recorded sound sometimes coming on so loud as to make one reach for the volume control, and the uneven performance of the Violetta, Eva Mei who, for all her merits, gives a dramatically effective performance marred by occasional difficulties with vocal production. Still, overall I felt this was a moving production, one that I would recommend, although perhaps not as an only DVD of one of Verdi's most popular operas.

Southern indie rockers Lucero hit the road in this documentary, which shows the Memphis, Tennessee band on tour and in the studio. In addition to candid interviews with band members Ben Nichols, Roy Berry, John Stubblefield and Brian Venable, the video features footage of the band on tour with The North Mississippi All-Stars, in the studio for the recording of "Tennessee" and performing live at the Memphis in May Music Festival.

A truly remarkable New Year’s Eve in St Petersburg’s fabled Mariinsky Theatre, with Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky (ex-Kirov) Ballet. It was at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg that the ballet The Sleeping Beauty premiered in 1890, with a score by Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa. This New Year’s Eve programme revolves around Act III, in which Princess Aurora is brought out of her long sleep by the prince of her dreams and marries him. In addition, prima ballerina Uliana Lopatkina dances Camille Saint-Saëns’ famous Dying Swan, first performed by Anna Pavlova. In conclusion the soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre’s Young Singers’ Academy perform the finale of Rossini’s Journey to Rheims in a joyous celebration of the coming of the New Year.

A Big Night in with Darren Hayes, was recorded in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia in July 2006. It was the third tour undertaken by Australian singer-songwriter Darren Hayes as a solo artist. The tour was undertaken to celebrate the release of Savage Garden's 10th anniversary greatest hits album. The staging for the tour was simple, with a 'living room' feel, featuring a bar, dining area and wardrobe. The show featured a great deal of audience participation.

Filmed in 1979, the concert took place in Germany, and was shot at Radio Bremen Studios for the German television show Musikladen. Another highlight is the inclusion of "Take What You Want", which was never recorded for album release, but was a favorite on their American concert tours. In the early 1970s, rubber was still king in Akron, Ohio. But just a few short years later, Akron's most important product was, ever so briefly, music. In the mid-1970s, a group of local bands took over an old rubber workers' hang-out in downtown Akron called The Crypt and created a mix of punk and art rock that came to be known as "the Akron Sound." And for a while, it was almost "the next big thing." Almost. It's Everything, and Then It's Gone, a Western Reserve PBS production written and directed by Phil Hoffman., takes viewers back to a time when the music really did mean everything. And for the men and women in these local bands, it was a way out of the factory.

Mexican band Cafe Tacuba celebrates 15 years of making--and often revolutionizing--Spanish rock with Un Viaje. This lush, luxurious live set includes three discs of music and one electrifying DVD. The group has culled the best moments from a two-night stand in Oct. 2004 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, and the results are consistently electric. Every song, every rhythm, every guitar lick, every laugh is important, a not-to-be-missed moment. Cafe Tacuba's potent mix of music and message is a powerful thing, and the group thrives in its unflinchingly earnest, sweetly sincere approach to its art. Even during backstage interviews and recording studio hijinks, each member seems wholly pleased to be a part of the process. Led by the inimitable Bob The Bear Hite, a huge man with a personality to match, they established themselves as one of the greatest white blues bands of all time. This concert from Montreux in 1973, their only appearance at the festival, captures them at their peak, and features a guest appearance from Clarence Gatemouth Brown.

Giacomo Meyerbeer's pastoral opera,based on a Breton tale, is the tale of DINORAH who has gone mad because her bridegroom Hoël has disappeared during their wedding. This production, performed as part of Théâtre Impérial de Compiegne's purpose of reviving obscure French opera, is the only version of 'Dinorah' available on DVD, but it is a great production! The painterly pastoral settings and décor and rustic costumes are very easy on the eye. Opera traditionalists who dislike modern stagings will be delighted to know that this is a traditional production. Pierre Jourdan's stage direction is charming and always involving, never once falling into static movements or gestures, gratuitous distaste and irrelevance. Claudio Abbado conducts the Berlin Philharmonic in this gala New Year's Eve performance, organized to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi's death. Recorded in 2000, the program includes excerpts from the composer's "La Traviata," "Falstaff," "Rigoletto," "Don Carlos" and "Un Ballo in Maschera," with solos by Andrea Rost (soprano), Ramon Vargas (tenor), Alan Titus (baritone) and Lucio Gallo (bass-baritone).

Martha Masters, winner of the Guitar Foundation of America's 2000 competition, plays an array of works by composers from around the world in an intimate studio session, preceding each piece with a personal introduction. The program includes a suite by Puerto Rican composer Ernesto Cordero, a pair of sonatas by Italian composer Domenico Scarlatti, two selections by Macedonian composer Miroslav Tadic and a piece by American composer Bryan Johanson.
