Songs on the Death of children

Based on a free interpretation of Gustav Mahler´s Song Cycle by the same name and a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, this multiple award winning film is a striking example of Titus Leber´s approach to visualise classical music. Using his so called “multi-layer-method” to superimpose several image layers the author takes us in a dream-like lamentation-quest of a mother's winter-journey searching for her child who has been carried off by the Angel of Death.

Hallo, du altes Spreeathen!

Berlin’s last barrel‐organ player, Otto Steppke, is to receive the “Golden Cylinder” atop the shining “Berlin Moon” teleballoon above Alexanderplatz. Piloted old‐style by balloon, the gala flight, hosted by the operetta’s Frau Luna, promises Lincke waltzes and Kollos tunes. But Otto’s daughter, his ex Mrs. Pusebach, and intrepid reporter Telemann conspire (along with fickle love and capricious winds) to upend the hour‐long ascent in wild, music-filled chaos.

In Roberta Torre's "true story of Romeo and Julet", Toni Giulietto is a vulnerable street singer and Little Tony-impersonator (who is himself an Italian Elvis-impersonator) who is constantly deceived and hoodwinked by almost everyone he knows. Romea is an attractive Nigerian immigrant who sells sex on the streets of Palermo to pay off her huge fee to the man who smuggled her in to the country.
