This new Christmas ballet film was conceived by Matthew Bourne and directed by his long standing film collaborator Ross MacGibbon. The film celebrates Bourne's power to imaginatively transform ballet, taking dance and dancers off the stage into studio, bringing together projections, animation, and an intimate shooting style to produce a distinctive new way of presenting dance on screen. When Leipzig pianist Kyra Steckeweh realized that her repertoire almost exclusively consisted of music composed by men, she began searching for pieces written by female composers. Her research in archives, libraries, and publishing houses quickly brought to light a variety of remarkable piano pieces that have been buried in history and rarely performed.

In the mid-1980s outside this college town, home of the Kansas Jayhawks, punk rock history was being made in the middle of a cornfield. Where the pavement turned to gravel, in a small, primitive cinder block building, bands like Fugazi, the Melvins, Rollins Band, Gwar, the Circle Jerks, Body Count, Social Distortion, Bad Brains, White Zombie, Descendents, Sonic Youth, Green Day, Fishbone, the Meat Puppets, Helmet, and Nirvana played to all-ages crowds, a raucous scene of misfits and anarchists on the margins of youth culture. This was The Outhouse. Small, dark and sometimes dangerous, it quickly gained a reputation as a haven for the bands other venues were afraid of, and the kids who loved them.

a-ha, the multi-platinum selling legendary Norwegian trio, will release a 15 track Acoustic Hits MTV Unplugged album on October 6. This is the first time in the band’s 30 year history that they have recorded an acoustic album. The set list includes a carefully picked selection of trademark hits, tracks not often performed live and two brand new songs, This Is Our Home and A Break In The Clouds. Guests on the album include Alison Moyet, Ian McCulloch, and Lissie. Their Unplugged concert was filmed in Norway, each artist in the series chose a location that held a special meaning to them. a-ha’s MTV Unplugged album will enhance the bands credibility, they are one of a select few artists that have been chosen to appear in the series alongside acts such as Shawn Mendes.

Chronology pulls together live performances from across Talking Heads' career. It starts with their earliest days at CBGB and The Kitchen in New York City in the mid-seventies, through their breakthrough years in the late seventies and on to global success in the eighties. They completed their last tour in 1983 although they would continue to make very successful albums throughout the eighties before officially breaking up in 1991. The DVD concludes with their "reunion" performance of "Life During Wartime" on their induction into the Rock `n' Roll Hall Of Fame in 2002.

The Ballad Of Danko Jones is a short intriguing story of Canadian rock band Danko Jones trying to save the world from an evil scientist whilst escaping multiple hit men out to get them. The story focuses of the technology of human cloning and the immoral aspects surrounding it. Their drummer Dan is taken hostage by the scientist and locked in to a chamber. The only way to save him is to find a small piece of nano technology in the shape of a pendant that will release him and save his life. The story contains a tunnel of dramatic events and violence, the lack of dialog creates suspense and the over all story is accompanied by a narrative voice.

Influenced by the whisperings of his wife, he literally stops at nothing to fulfil the prophesy. But racked by guilt, the Macbeths soon sink into delusions and become victims of their own thirst for power. The FreeStyle Festival 2018 focuses on two different bands competing in an equal music competition. On the one hand, the Academia band - a strict band with high standards, starring Noa Kirl and the guidance of her aunt Eliana Tidhar. On the other hand, the silent stars starring Yonatan Margi is a charismatic and quiet man who will deal with his older brother Moshe Peretz, who does not want his little brother to enter the Zohar world. After the Street Fighters meet Idan Raichel, he decides to adopt the band and serve as its main mentor to win the music competition against the Academy. The plot is entangled in love stories, headed by Noa Kearl and Yonatan Margi with distant connections. This year's Festigal will convey a message of free choice without the need to tag the other with the slogan "Whatever you choose to be."

The short features previously unseen Evangelion storyboard art. Evangelion director Hideaki Anno supervised the "petit film," and Mahiro Maeda directed and storyboarded it. Shiro Sagisu provided the music, and voice actress Megumi Hayashibara narrates the Japanese version of the English lyrics. Sagisu made a few comments about the video on his website and posted the Japanese version of the lyrics. According to Sagisu, when they were finishing work on Q, Anno told him this would be the last time they used the F2 (Next Episode) theme, which made Sagisu want to make a extended version of it. He says the video actually contains four versions of the song: An unreleased version by the London Studio Orchestra (at the start), the Takahashi version from Xpressions, the version from Piano Forte #1, and Hayashibara's narrated version.

Five years after his last tour, Chico Buarque returns with a show to launch his newest CD, Chico, which has already sold over 80,000 copies. Despite having one of the most solid and prolific careers in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) — releasing more than 40 albums over 45 years, including solo works and projects — the composer rarely appears on Brazilian stages. This will be only the sixth show he has performed in the last 36 years. Lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, the setlist is built entirely around the ten songs from the new album. In addition to these, the artist sifted through his vast catalog of over 400 songs—diverse in both genres and themes—to finalize a list of 30 tracks. The project, titled Na Carreira, is a celebration of this great artist’s return to the stage, revisiting classics such as Todo Sentimento, Bastidores, Baioque, O Meu Amor/Teresinha, Anos Dourados, among others.

Fey: Primera Fila is the Acoustic studio album by Mexican pop singer Fey. The live album, part of Sony's "Primera Fila" series, was shot and recorded in Mexico on June 22, 2012 in front of fans and special guests on an invite-only basis. The live album has new renditions of songs from her first three albums, as well as three new tracks. The album features a documentary of the process as well as a live video recording of the concert.
