This recording captures their first ever all acoustic performance filmed at the famous Newport Folk Festival.

Two girls are driving to Daytona when their car breaks down. Rather than sit in an old broken down truck in the middle of nowhere while they wait for their friends to come pick them up, they decide to go with J (Violent J), a clown, who invites them to his bed and breakfast. However, J's ulterior motives are revealed when his retarded hunchback brother, Shaggy (Shaggy 2 Dope), decapitates one of the girls. The girl's friends head to pick them up, and each are murdered by the clowns.

Guitarist John Abercrombie combines bop and free jazz stylistic elements with electronics utilizing phase shifters, guitar synthesizers and the good old volume pedal. Adina and Nemorino declare their love for each other, Belcore is dumped, and the fraudulent Dulcamara does a landslide business in love potions. “Entrée d’Artistes” is an astonishing documentary about jazz, swing and dance music in Luxembourg between the Twenties and the Sixties. The first orchestras performed at the fair, at the Alpha, at the International,… ; jazz, considered “negro” music and banned during the Nazi occupation, was prerogative of cabaret,… “Entrée d’Artistes” retraces that fine period using archive images, interviews and reconstructions but also by having the musicians of that era rediscover it (Tommy Dallimore, Andy Felten, Johnny Glesener, Jean Roderes, Camille Back, and others).

"If You Wanna Use Guitars, Use Guitars…" - A 32-minute short film, entitled Depeche Mode 1989–90 (If You Wanna Use Guitars, Use Guitars), featured interviews with the band, Daniel Miller, Flood, François Kevorkian (who mixed the album), Anton Corbijn (who directed the music videos and did the album's photography/cover), and others.
