The Mexican Maestro Alondra de la Parra has taken the world's concert halls by storm. Born in 1980 in New York, she decided early on she wanted to become a conductor. Her great dream has taken her on a long journey - and it is not over yet, by any means. Alondra de la Parra'a roots are in Mexico - but her orchestras and her audiences are to be found all over the world. Alondra de la Parra is one of those trailblazers who has made history by being appointed the first conductor and music director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in 2017. She began playing the piano at age 7 and the cello at 13. After she studied in England and the United States - with mentors such Kurt Masur and Kenneth Kiesler, she founded the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas (POA) at age 23 in 2004.

The minute Big Love record store in Harajuku, Tokyo is plastered with posters of Danish noise-punk bands and hanging from the ceiling is a football scarf emblazoned with the name of the Copenhagen-based label recognized with nurturing primal talent, Posh Isolation. Taped to the grubby white walls is the line-up of the turbulent two-day festival 13 Torches for a Burn, held earlier this year in Los Angeles to celebrate five years of the label, co-founded by Loke Rahbek, then 16 years old.

Gone Too Soon is a documentary film about the final year of Michael Jackson's life and career, released on June 25, 2010, exactly one year after his death. It is produced and directed by author-filmmaker Ian Halperin, who wrote "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson", which hit No. 1 last year on the New York Times' bestsellers list, after he spent five years investigating Jackson.[1][2]. In an interview with Halperin in March 2010, he revealed that the film is culled from 300 hours of footage shot inside the singer's camp and includes video and audio of Jackson shot before his death. It also includes interviews with Jackson's personal manager, trainer, and attorney.

This film is about Oleg Karavaichuk, eccentric musical genius and famous St. Petersburg composer, who takes his final stroll through Komarovo, a bay-side summer community just outside St. Petersburg where he spent his whole life and wrote most of his works. His final piece, “The Komarovo Waltz”, unveiled here for the very first time, was written as a tribute to the place. The film is the reclusive composer’s eulogy to the community. It also serves as Karavoichuk’s farewell to audience as well as his last address and reminder of things that are truly important – love for your fellow man and virgin nature.

I've Never Been to New York

In the life of TV presenter Lisa, everything revolves around her talk show, celebrities and the ratings. There is just as little room for love as there is for her mother Maria. When the 66-year-old loses her memory after a fall in her apartment and wakes up in the hospital, she can only remember that she has never been to New York and sets off immediately. Lisa goes in search of Maria with her makeup artist Fred. She struck gold on a cruise ship that was just leaving for New York. As stowaways, the three have no choice but to earn the passage. While Fred is hired as an assistant by the Greek on-board magician Costa, Lisa and Maria have to work in room service. The crossing soon takes surprising turns for mother and daughter: Maria falls in love with the charming dancer Otto, who supposedly knows her from before, and Lisa takes a liking to the widowed statistician Axel Staudach, who is traveling with his son Florian.
