One Cold Winter's Night was recorded on February 11th, 2006 at the historic Rockefeller Musichall in Oslo, Norway. Kamelot enlisted renowned film and video director Patric Ullaeus to chronicle the night's events. Arriving with him from Gothenberg, Sweden, Patric had a large crew of professionals and equipment including 18 cameras that would be used in and around the concert grounds. The title for the band's first DVD (based on an earlier Kamelot song title) was chosen long before the actual shoot. Ironically this winter turned out to be one of the longest and coldest in the country's history, with enormous amounts of snow and numerous chaos-causing blizzards. A very special thanks goes out to fans that had to wait in line before doors opened to the sold out show. We sincerely hope we managed to warm you back up!

Die Live-Aufnahmen vom 30. Mai 1983 aus der Offenbacher Stadthalle sind nicht immer perfekt -- die Bühne ist größtenteils ziemlich dunkel ausgeleuchtet, und der Ton weist einige kleinere Schwankungen auf --, aber diese leichten Unsauberkeiten machen Land in Sicht nur noch authentischer und sympathischer. Rio Reiser besticht mit hundertprozentigem emotionalem Einsatz, und seine Hinterleute beweisen, dass die Scherben immer deutlich mehr waren, als eine Band mit Lagerfeuer-Protestsong-Flair. Da wird hart gerockt, satt gegroovt, und die originellen, komplexen Arrangements heben sich meilenweit von Politpunk-, Deutschrock- und NDW-Klischees ab.

The DVD is a re-release of the concert from 02/28/1999. The peculiarity of this edition is the format 720x480 (16:9) (against 4:3 in the previous edition), as well as the sound of dts 5.1, a different order of songs, a different boxing design and, as it seemed to me, a slightly different shooting. Although I didn’t understand exactly, since the wide screen gives a different feeling. The quality of the video recording, in my opinion, is much worse than 4:3, but I did not closely compare. This DVD can only be of interest to true fans of Donna Summer, who want to have a favorite in all variants and angles.

This is an excellent version of one of the greatest of all comic operas, featuring superb singing and orchestral playing. And it's not just the two headliners; listen, for example, to the entrance of the stepsisters at the beginning of Act One. Nevertheless, some viewers may find the staging problematic, with singers in clown-like costumes and sets featuring human-sized rodents. Those seeking a more conventional production might want to consider the Houston Grand Opera DVD, also on Decca, with Cecilia Bartoli and Raul Jimenez. Both sets are wonderful, but, for me, Joyce Didonato and Juan Diego Florez are slightly to be preferred. Highly recommended.

She soon leaves him, however, to become the mistress of a rich nobleman. Thus begins her descent into criminality and depravity, all too soon dragging the besotted Des Grieux with her, until she is imprisoned. Despite its tragic story, the opera is full of French charm and vitality – typified by the ambiguous Manon herself. Her plight is touching because of the subtle play of innocence and calculation in her character. The score contains many sparkling arias and ensembles, moving rapidly from moods of exuberance to tenderness, with perfect dramatic timing. "Gekokujyo Xstasy" is a video album by Japanese singer and songwriter Ringo Sheena, released on 7 December 2000 by Toshiba EMI. It contains a live recording of Sheena during her first tour of the same name. "Gekokujyo Xstasy" was the first nationwide tour for Shiina performed from April 17, 2000 to June 7. The live video takes up two performances at NHK Hall and at Fukuoka Sunpalace mainly from this tour. The stage design of the tour makes a hospital a motif like her single "Honnou." The stage setting imitated an operating room, and an ECG Monitor or an anatomical model of the human body, etc. were arranged on the stage, and the synthesizer and the drum set were laid on operating tables. Shiina wears a white dress looks like gauze bandages with which she blinds her body. Four members of the tour band also wear the white coat.

It begins with very rare black and white Australian documentary from the 60s with Jagger looking like the rebel, and Keith, looking somewhat wasted, talking about Brian Jones in some depth.
