The musical fable of Alfred Jodocus Kwak (lyrics: Herman van Veen; music: Herman van Veen, Erik van der Wurff, Harry Sacksioni) was first performed by the Amsterdam Youth Theater in Carré on Sunday, August 29, 1976. Eleven years later, Herman van Veen sang and narrated the musical fable in various European cities, accompanied by the Groot Waterlands Symphony Orchestra conducted by Erik van der Wurff. The performance in the Elisabethzaal in Antwerp was recorded by Veronica television, directed by Geert Popma.
