After his wife's accidental death, the once successful pop singer Eric Kersten and his son Peter retired to Lake Maggiore. He spends his time painting pictures that he sells to tourists. The Kanneh-Mason family has produced several outstanding musicians. In addition to Sheku, arguably the family’s most famous member, his sister Jenneba Kanneh-Mason—the third of the siblings—is also pursuing a solo career. At the 2025 Ruhr Piano Festival, she will present an evocative program ranging from Bach to Beethoven to Chopin.
