Die Toten Hosen - Alles ohne Strom

Back in 2005, we put our guitar amps away for the first time and released “Nur zu Besuch – Unplugged im Wiener Burgtheater,” a recording of an all-acoustic concert. We had an incredible time during those evenings at the Burgtheater—and even during the rehearsals leading up to them—and many fans and friends celebrated these new, fresh takes on familiar classics. So it was only a matter of time before we treated ourselves to that kind of fun again.

Herbert Grönemeyer - Tumult - Live aus dem Radialsystem, Berlin

On October 31, 2018, Herbert Grönemeyer gave a concert at the Radialsystem in Berlin. He and his band presented his new album "Tumult" to a small audience for the first time. Hope instead of hate, the defense of freedom, getting along, never before has it been so important for him to be loud: "The country is nervous, the times are nervous, and we have to learn to take a stand, speak up and get loud." "My whole album is about the times we're in. That's what inspired me. People like us, who don't spend their mornings and evenings on the internet giving their opinions, have to learn to be loud in a different way, to be loud in a relaxed way." But Herbert Grönemeyer also sings about what remains unchanged: Of love and being loved, of the happiness of small moments and the euphoria of new beginnings.

Britten: War Requiem

With the Russian soprano Irina Lungu, the British tenor Allan Clayton and the German baritone Matthias Goerne, a star cast has been found that ties in with the history of the work in a special way: Benjamin Britten composed his War Requiem as a work of mourning and remembrance of the war dead and wanted the soloists to be members of the countries that had previously been enemies in the war. The premiere took place in 1962 in the rebuilt Coventry Cathedral, whose previous building had been destroyed by German bombing. The text was based on the Latin text of the Missa pro Defunctis and poems by Wilfred Owen, one of the most important literary witnesses to the horrors of the First World War.

Artistik aus einer anderen Welt: Gravity & Other Myths

An inspiring, lively and authentic portrait of one of the world's leading acrobatic companies. Bodies fly through the air like cannon shells, a woman floats dizzyingly high above the stage, held only by her jaw. A balancing act on the heads of two human towers leaves the audience breathless and a wildly dancing contortionist moves the audience to tears in his rebellion. With artistic virtuosity, Gravity & Other Myths stretches the limits of what human bodies are capable of doing.

Barclay James Harvest - Live at the Town and Country Club

Recorded live at London’s Town & Country Club in February 1992, Barclay James Harvest play a selection of their most popular and timeless classics. Coinciding with the 25th Anniversary of the band’s formation, this live concert is an evocative testament to one of the greatest exponents of British progressive rock. Opening with an extended and haunting rendition of Mockingbird, the guitars of John Lees and Colin Browne blend magnificently on Medicine Man and Play to the World, with Les Holroyd rendering a dramatic vocal performance on the latter. BJH’s more ponderous progressive rock set pieces are pierced by the rousing upbeat guitar-based Life Is for the Living and the crowd pleasing Stand Up.

Frozen Jumper

"Frozen Jumper" begins in hit-and-run style with a pulsating textural noise. Flickering, nearly rectangular patterns join on the image plane, at first in black-and-white, bringing to mind the sprocket holes in celluloid film and, not least due to the lack of geometric precision, giving the impression of a pre-digital origin. As the soundtrack rattles on in a minimalistic way, the pattern’s twitchy dance is submerged in various warm hues such as yellow, pink, light green and light blue, which in a different rhythm and to a more agreeable music could be perceived as the signature of slightly retro psychedelia.
