Claudio Abbado conducted Beethoven’s symphonies on many occasions in the Philharmonie in Berlin. But only at the end of his tenure as chief conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker did he decide to give a performance of the complete symphonies. It was left to audiences of his native Italy to witness these concerts in February 2001 in the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Recorded live in the summer of Tokyo 2000, this concert features The Smashing Pumpkins performing a full set with Billy Corgan, James Iha, Melissa Auf der Maur, and Jimmy Chamberlin.

On September 1, 2001, Irish rock band U2 made a triumphant return to their roots with two outdoor shows at Slane Castle, Ireland. U2 chose the castle venue because it marked two watershed moments for the band: their recording session for the landmark album THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE in 1984, and their first Slane appearance opening up for fellow Irish rock band Thin Lizzy in 1981. TMG LIVE TOUR "Dodge The Bullet" was a live tour held by TMG (Tak Matsumoto Group) in 2004. The tour ran from July 3, 2004 to September 7, 2004. The band played a sixteen-song set, including all songs from TMG I apart from "My Alibi". Additionally, the band performed a full-band acoustic rendition of Mr. Big's "To Be With You" and a cover of Night Ranger's "(You Can Still) Rock in America". One month prior to the tour proper, the band appeared as one of the featured acts at annual Japanese music festival SUMMER SONIC 04 to play a truncated setlist of ten songs. Children in Need Rocks the Royal Albert Hall is a charity music concert held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England on 12 November 2009. The concert was organised by Take That singer Gary Barlow as one of a series of events to raise money for Children in Need 2009. The huge success of the concert inspired Barlow to organise Children in Need Rocks Manchester at the Manchester Arena, Manchester in 2011.
