Idealism, treachery, honor, and perfidy collide in this richly lyrical opera by French composer Ernest Chausson. This opulently scored work, which premiered in 1903, lays bare the tragedy of King Arthur’s betrayal at the hands of his queen Genièvre and his trusted knight Lancelot. Considered one of the finest examples of French romanticism, King Arthur (Le roi Arthus) was composer Chausson’s only opera—his own composing career was tragically cut short by his early death at age 44. Performed by a stellar cast, helmed by baritone Norman Garrett, mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke, and tenor Matthew White, this production of King Arthur takes us to a world in the midst of upheaval where long-standing codes of honor and loyalty no longer hold sway.

After stunning us at the 2017 ARTE Concert Festival, Sarah McCoy returns to our cameras for this year's Piano Day. A concert driven by the bluesy melodies of her album High Priestess.

Three years of research and perseverance enabled the filmmakers to uncover exceptional and completely unseen archive footage of our father in concert. More than 40 years later, it was beyond our wildest dreams! Far from the formulaic image of “Cloclo” on television, we suddenly see a different artist, a showman, an extraordinary dancer giving his heart and soul, sweating, his eyes filled with his music. We realize that at least two generations are unaware of his true artistic dimension. Through these audiovisual treasures, he alone tells us about his career, his influences, and shares his passion for music and his craft. If we had to show our children just one documentary about our father, it would be this one!

Massenet's opera centres on its charming but contrary heroine, the vivacious young Manon who longs for luxury and excitement. We first encounter her en route to a convent, where her family are sending her to be educated. Along the way, she falls in love with the young student Des Grieux, and, impetuously, runs off with him. She soon leaves him, however, to become the mistress of a rich nobleman. Thus begins her descent into criminality and depravity, all too soon dragging the besotted Des Grieux with her, until she is imprisoned. Despite its tragic story, the opera is full of French charm and vitality – typified by the ambiguous Manon herself. Her plight is touching because of the subtle play of innocence and calculation in her character. The score contains many sparkling arias and ensembles, moving rapidly from moods of exuberance to tenderness, with perfect dramatic timing. The partner of the singer in the video is an American TV actor Giancarlo Esposito, who also played two roles: a businessman and a pimp. Prostitutes, appearing in the video are not actresses, but real representatives of their profession. Mylène admitted that she fell in love with this role. Abel Ferrara recalled that Farmer later thanked him for his professional work.

Between 1990 and 1993, at a time when rap was not yet on the radio in France, Olivier Cachin hosted a musical TV show on M6 called "RapLine". The show exclusively devoted to rap and other alternative music. This cult show presented all the facets of these emerging movements through interviews, lives and clips made especially for the show, around fifty clips were produced by RapLine. Another sequence of the show consisted of broadcasting new US rap clips subtitled in French.
