Although Domingo was younger and Banackova looked more like the sweet and innocent young Madalena than the one played by Tomowa-Sintow in the ROH production, this production was not as good. It was not as tight and neat. The tempo set was far too slow for the time-period of the story. The stage setting was distracting. The lighting was too dark. Except Domingo, a natural actor who was always into his role and sings and acts with passion, none of the other performers came up with a convincing portrayal of the role he/she played.

Doug Harris's 1982 avant-garde jazz film Speaking in Tongues was funded by German Public Television channel ZDF and broadcast throughout Europe when it was first released. The now rarely seen work features saxophonist David Murray, percussionist Milford Graves, and poet-playwright and novelist Amiri Baraka, and serves as a tribute to Albert Ayler, a tenor saxophonist who was a leader in the free-style jazz movement before his mysterious death in 1970.

Live by the Bay is a live video by the American popular music singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band. It was released in 1986 by MCA Entertainment. The 87-minute video was recorded from back to back concerts in Miami on August 16 and 17, 1985, at Miami Marine Stadium and is the first concert video released by Buffett. Miami Vice star Don Johnson introduced Buffett to the crowd. A brief rain shower during the middle of the Friday night show prompted Buffett to retreat to his sailboat (docked by the stage) and caused a majority of the final video release to feature the Saturday night show. After the rain cleared on Friday, the band played Little Feat's "Dixie Chicken" to demonstrate the equipment still functioned before Buffett returned to the stage.

An ageing showman and his young sidekick accordionist are on a low budget summer tour of Sweden when the accordionist suddenly gets an offer for a much better gig and then the conflict is born.

This was probably a pretty bad idea: In 1981, at the absolute height of his U.K. superstardom, Gary Numan announced his retirement from live performance. Barnum the musical traces Phineas Taylor Barnum's career from 1835 to 1881 when he joined James A. Bailey to form the circus which was called The Greatest Show on Earth. Barnum is a defender of "the noble art of humbug" with a philosophy, and has a free wheeling ambition to make a fortune. He buys the oldest woman in the world, named Joyce Heath, as a sideshow attraction. Barnum builds a museum of curiosities supported by his wife Charity, who would like him to settle down.

Kenny G Live is the first live album by saxophonist Kenny G. It was released by Arista Records in 1989, and peaked at number 2 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and number 16 on the Billboard 200. This album was recorded live at both Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay in San Diego, California. and also at the Seattle Center Opera House.

Filmed at The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London in 1981, this video shows the band singing some of their most famous hits of that time, live on stage. Includes songs such as Joan of Arc, Maid of Orleans, Messages and Enola Gay and many more. Originally released as a VHS video, this was also distributed on a Collector's Edition DVD/CD combo in 2007.

Crowded House perform some of their classic songs from their first album along with their latest album release. Their performance of "Sister Madly" was also used as their released video clip.

So Far is a music documentary video by the Grateful Dead. Directed by Jerry Garcia and Len Dell'Amico, it is intended to give a subjective view of the Grateful Dead experience. The soundtrack includes Dead song performances, largely from 1985. The visuals combine scenes of the band playing the songs, other Dead related material, computer animation, and found footage that has been altered and edited in various ways. So Far was released on VHS videotape and on laserdisc in 1987, and has a running time of 55 minutes.

The story is based on the life of Pothuluri Veerabrahmam (N. T. Rama Rao), a well-known saint and astrologer of the 17th century. A brief life of Gautama Buddha, Ramanuja, Adi Shankara and Vemana (all essayed by NTR) are shown at the beginning of the film.

While the rest of the Hebrews bewail their fate, Samson alone trusts in God's promise of liberty. Abimelech, the Philistine satrap of Gaza, enters to mock the Hebrews' God, proclaiming the superiority of Dagon, and the Hebrews are afraid of him. But calls them to show some defiance, so Abimelech attacks Samson with his sword. Samson seizes the sword and strikes him dead. The Hebrews scatter and the High Priest of Dagon appears, cursing the Hebrews. When a messenger reports that the Hebrews are ravaging the harvest, the High Priest forms a plan to use Delilah to overcome Samson's strength. Delilah's beauty is such that Samson can't resist her for long. She begs to know the secret of his supernatural strength, but he refuses, though he says he loves her. Delilah betrays Samson by having some Philistine soldiers seize him and throw him into a prison in Gaza, where his hair is cut off.

The 1983 show kicks off with a simmering version of Hooker’s mid-60s single “Serves Me Right To Suffer.” The Coast To Coast Blues Band puts down John Lee’s signature style of hypnotic rhythm behind him and Hooker works his minimalist magic on the assembled fans. The Hook has always defined what cool is all about and that presence is in full force here from the moment he hits the stage. He’s vibrant and captivating and the Montreux crowd clearly can’t get enough.

At every corner, there is something going on that should not be missed - especially if it's something forbidden. However, some people are concerned about something else. One is Carlo Goldoni young lawyer of 27 years, he dreams only theater and he thinks only the part that wants to ride. Alas, the money was also hard to find at that time than now. His two friends, Antonio Vivaldi and Gian Battista Tiepolo are better known than him but they are also looking for this rare bird: a patron, who was not on ONLY the desire but also the means to sponsor a work of art.

To sing and dance on their birthday, a girl has kidnapped the manager of the youth group Tremendo. Tremendo was a prefabricated pop band, created in Argentina to compete with Menudo, that Puerto Rican group that had Riky Martin in its ranks.

About what happened to Santa Claus on his way to the New Year. Santa Claus leads the "train of life" to the New Year, but a drooping horse blocks the train's path. It turns out that after a quarrel with her jealous husband, a beautiful woman who was born according to the Chinese horoscope in the year of this animal turned into a horse. And the year of her husband's birth doomed him to the role of a monkey. Santa Claus spent a lot of effort to reconcile the spouses, after which the train again followed towards the New Year.

When his unmarried mother dies, custody of 13-year-old Job is assumed by his alleged father, Chris, whom he has never seen. Job is an enthusiastic cadet at a military academy, and Chris turns out to be a top-grossing rock star who removes Job from his beloved school to keep him company on tour. Inspector Sunil Rana thwarts a hijacking, but instead of earning praise, he ends up suspended from the force. Depressed about the unchecked corruption in the police department, Rana seeks solace in a bottle. But when his best friend in the department is murdered, he realizes he must stand up for what is right. He may be suspended, but Rana has still sworn to uphold the law.

A concert film directed by and featuring the music of Laurie Anderson, filmed at the Park Theater in Union City, New Jersey, during the summer of 1985. The film includes songs from her 1984 album 1984’s “Mister Heartbreak” and selections from her 1983 “United States” show, along with eclectic, experimental visuals blending film, animation, dance and electronics.

A magician with an orphaned granddaughter lives in a theater where a group of Spanish child singers come to perform. The presence of "Los Parchís" helps the great magician Gundin regain his confidence in his performances and provide a better life for his granddaughter.

This performance was recorded on April 28, 1981, for the TV show After Hours at Studio 31 in Rochester, New York. The set included "I Don’t Know", "Crazy Train", "Mr. Crowley" and "Suicide Solution", along with an interview with Ozzy Osbourne. This footage is the only known professionally recorded video of Randy Rhoads performing full songs live with Ozzy Osbourne. Additional segments featuring Ozzy or Randy aired on Two on the Town, Entertainment Tonight (early 1982), The Rock Report, and MTV, which awarded Randy Rhoads the Best New Talent Award posthumously in March 1982.
