This installment of the Classic Albums series follows the making of two Grateful Dead albums, the fiercely experimental Anthem of the Sun and the understated masterwork American Beauty, which spawned melodic gems like "Sugar Magnolia" and "Ripple." Between the archival scenes and contemporary interviews with band members, the DVD shows a band making seismic inroads in pop music--and five young guys coming to terms with artistry, mortality, and, yes, the pursuit of happiness. There is priceless footage of Neal Cassady driving Ken Kesey's bus and of the Dead, surrounded by martini-sipping hipsters, on Playboy After Dark. The best scenes involve band members talking about specific songs (you will never hear Phil Lesh's "Box of Rain" again without thinking of it as a gift to his dying father) or deconstructing a tune by playing each track separately. Intimate and surprisingly cohesive, Anthem to Beauty is a rare glimpse into how the Dead's magic was made.

MTV Unplugged is a 1993 live album by 10,000 Maniacs. The music was recorded for the MTV Unplugged series and it was also the last album by the band featuring Natalie Merchant as vocalist. In addition to the songs released on this album, four takes of "How You've Grown" were recorded, second takes of "Because the Night" and "Gold Rush Brides", a brief take of "Puff the Magic Dragon" and three other songs which featured singer David Byrne as a guest: "Let The Mystery Be" (two takes, one of which was released as a B-Side to "Few and Far Between" and on Campfire Songs: The Popular, Obscure and Unknown Recordings), "Jolene", and "Dallas". In 1994, it reached 13 on the Billboard 200.

One Love documents the December 1999 tribute concert honoring reggae pioneer Bob Marley produced in Oracabessa Bay, Jamaica, and originally broadcast on the TNT cable network. Fascinated by the flickering light, he follows the direction from where it comes. The creeping gnome is watched from behind picturesque rocks by trolls. Behind the next rock paragraph, the gnome notices the shadows of the trolls dancing in a frenzied rhythm. Above a huge bonfire towers the figure of the King of the Mountains. The gnome is pulled into the dancing circle. In the final stage of the ecstatic dance, the King of the Mountains leaps into the fire and emerges from it as the all-powerful ruler of the underworld.

A film miniature for classical music inspired by the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The form of a luminous line following the rhythm and tempo of the music creates musical instruments suspended in space. The line runs through a city lit up by neon lights, tracing surreal, abstract shapes, only to transform them into dancing silhouettes a moment later. The sounds of the music change the intensity of the light from white and black to a full range of colors vibrating to the rhythm of the music.

Interviews with celebrities such as Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, Dennis Hopper and Willie Nelson examine the remarkable career of actor-performer Kris Kristofferson, who successfully bridged the gap between Hollywood and Nashville. From his mastery of the "New Nashville" sound on his 1972 album "Jesus Was a Capricorn" to his role in the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Kristofferson has shown an agility that's hard to match.

With spectacular sets, this intense tale of heroism, passion, betrayal and ultimate tragedy is played out against a backdrop of fiery rituals, evil spells and pageantry.

Farmer appears in the movie in two roles: as a woman of high society, and as a street prostitute. The partner of the singer in the video is an American TV actor Giancarlo Esposito, who also played two roles: a businessman and a pimp. Prostitutes, appearing in the video are not actresses, but real representatives of their profession. Mylène admitted that she fell in love with this role. Abel Ferrara recalled that Farmer later thanked him for his professional work.

For the past ten years Zappa in composing has turned away from Rock and Roll music - for which he first became famous - and has been working on new, contemporary, orchestral electronic music; in solitude and beyond any commercial conventions or commitments. It is the first time that Zappa has allowed a film crew to study him during compositional work, actually filming the first moments of a new compositional process. By contrast, in a staged interview Zappa gives comments on music. This film seeks to reveal the sensetivities of Zappa's personality and character also beyond narrative content.

Brazilian speed-thrash-death metal band Sepultura are legendary for the extreme degree to which they delve into the depths of their genre. Always striving to be louder, faster, and deadlier (metaphorically, of course), Sepultura have inspired a countless number of modern metal bands as well as legions of obsessive fans. Under Siege was filmed live at Zeleste in Barcelona, Spain. For nearly an hour, Sepultura thrash through ten of their songs.

Riverdance, the Irish hard-shoe sensation that took PBS viewers by storm, underwent its second incarnation with Live from New York City, a 1996 performance filmed at Radio City Music Hall. While most of the attributes from 1995's Riverdance: The Show remain--the dazzling ensemble choreography, Bill Whelan's energetic score, and the New Age-y view of Celtic mythology--the most significant difference is at the top, where Colin Dunne replaced bombastic lead dancer Michael Flatley. Though lacking Flatley's bravura, Dunne is a superb technician who works well with Flatley's former co-lead, Jean Butler. Jaya is a dancer who wants to build a charitable hospital for the poor, but when her show takes place, she is shot, making her unable to dance. The leader of her dance group decides to train Jaya's sister Ritu to fulfill Jaya's dream, but when Jaya is killed, Ritu's life is also under threat.

She insists that his trio performs Gardel's tangos, which leads to Renzo recording a Ford commercial when Gardel himself is overbooked. The trio, with Joanna in tow, goes on an ill-fated tour of points north. The couple breaks up: she goes home and he tries to get to New York. The government nationalizes Ibrahim's property and places him under house arrest, and Umm Al-Saad takes care of him. Ibrahim feels affection for Umm Al-Saad, so he gets involved with her and she becomes pregnant and he marries her. She gives birth to their daughter, Jalila, and Ibrahim dies. Years pass and Jalila graduates from the music institute. She seeks refuge with her uncle, but he expels her and denies her lineage. She resorts to the judiciary, and the uncle offers her to marry his son, Amr, who is sick with a malignant disease.
