Herbert Grönemeyer - Tumult - Live aus dem Radialsystem, Berlin

On October 31, 2018, Herbert Grönemeyer gave a concert at the Radialsystem in Berlin. He and his band presented his new album "Tumult" to a small audience for the first time. Hope instead of hate, the defense of freedom, getting along, never before has it been so important for him to be loud: "The country is nervous, the times are nervous, and we have to learn to take a stand, speak up and get loud." "My whole album is about the times we're in. That's what inspired me. People like us, who don't spend their mornings and evenings on the internet giving their opinions, have to learn to be loud in a different way, to be loud in a relaxed way." But Herbert Grönemeyer also sings about what remains unchanged: Of love and being loved, of the happiness of small moments and the euphoria of new beginnings.

Unsung Heroines: Danielle de Niese on the Lost World of Female Composers

Danielle de Niese explores the lives and works of five female composers - from the Middle Ages to the late 20th century - who were famous in their lifetimes, but whose work was then forgotten. Western classical music has traditionally been seen as a procession of male geniuses, but the truth is that women have always composed. Hildegard of Bingen, Francesca Caccini, Clara Schumann, Florence Price and Elizabeth Maconchy - all these women battled to fulfill their ambitions and overcome the obstacles that society placed in their way. They then disappeared into obscurity, and only some have found recognition again.

From 4 soloists in 2001, the Annual Leah Todres Yiddish Song Festival featured 10 soloists and 120 voices singing in Yiddish on the stage of the Baxter Theatre in 2010. Originally conceived as a fund-raiser for the Cape Jewish Seniors Association, the festival took on a life of its own. Hillsong Worship: THERE IS MORE

In Genesis 32 we read the story of Jacob wrestling with God through the night. On the other side of Jacob’s divine encounter was a new name, a new blessing, a new identity and a new way of walking (literally). Will we be a worshipping people who are not content to sleep through the night (spiritually speaking) and wake in the morning unchanged? Like Jacob, will we enter into the wrestle with God, dare to know Him more intimately and be changed in the process? This is the premise for Hillsong Worship’s 26th live praise and worship album.
