An authentic first person view into the lives of full-time touring bands and the daily struggles they encounter on the road.

This is the story of touring musician, Jeff Mix, who finds himself at the Gateway Motel, in the same city he got hitched in. That evening a gun shot rings out. Someone will lose their life. With so many shady people, the shot could be meant for any one of them. The prostitute, the motel manager, the mob guy, the con­man, the mysterious man in search of a woman and her daughter.

After a 15-year hiatus, The Yellow Monkey, one of Japan's greatest rock bands, reunites in 2016 and goes on tour. They vow never to break up again. Director Daishi Matsunaga of Pieta in the Toilet and Pyuupiru captures them on and off stage examining what they did during their absence and where they are going.

Handball player Mikkel Hansen talks about his close collaboration with Crown Princess Mary to help the most vulnerable members of society, and we look ahead to the Crown Prince's 50th birthday celebration and the 'Royal Run' event, where all Danes are invited to run with the royal birthday boy.

'Where We Stood' showcases a tight performance from both band regulars and guests on new tracks from 'Your Wilderness', including "In Exile", "No Man's Land" and "The Final Thing On My Mind", and of the classics from previous albums, "Nothing At Best", "Show A Little Love" and "Simple As That".

"Time, forward!" - two orchestral suites by George Sviridov, published for the first time in 1968 (first suite) and in 1977 (second suite). The suites were created on the basis of music for the film "Time, Forward!" By Mikhail Schweitzer (based on the novel of the same name by Valentin Kataev, shot in 1965, released in 1966), dedicated to the construction of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine. From the first suite, the most famous part is "Time, forward!". Subsequently, it was used in a number of films, in television and radio programs, documentary films about the first five-year plans, industrialization, and post-war reconstruction. Sergei Oskolkov composed his suite: "Time, back!" The film is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the revolution in Russia.

Ella Fitzgerald's voice is a phenomenon and unrivalled to this day. She had the perfect pitch and perfect intonation. Ella's voice spanned three octaves, her phrasing seemed effortless. There is almost no style of music, in which she did not excel, and her numerous - now legendary - recordings of the 'Great American Songbook' with pieces of US composers such as George and Ira Gershwin, Harald Arlen, Cole Porter or Duke Ellington, remained a benchmark for the "right" interpretation of those songs for generations of singers. In the film the focus will be on the voice of Ella Fitzgerald. We want to unravel the secret of her voice through many different people (musicians, singers, critics etc.), who will tell about what impact her voice had on them and still has. We want to learn more about Ella´s life to find out what made her sing like she did and only she could.
