Invisible Wars

Set in a dystopian Rio de Janeiro, where the urban reality consumes the mental health of those on the periphery. The plot follows a young man who did not choose conflict, but is forced to inhabit it. On screen, the protagonist manifests in simultaneous versions (child and adult), drawing on elements of nature and ancestry to re-enchant a dehumanized world. The visual construction leans into an aesthetic that oscillates between the hyper-realism of urban textures and the metaphorical distortion of a world in collapse, creating an experience that is simultaneously visceral and poetic. Although it visually engages with the urgent themes of our time, the aesthetic of armed conflict functions as a metaphor for the invisible battles each person faces within themselves. The final revelation reframes the entire journey: the war the protagonist moves through does not take place in the outside world, but inside his own mind.

The Life Aquatic: A Tribute to David Bowie by Seu Jorge

Ten years after the passing of David Bowie, Brazilian artist Seu Jorge revisits the repertoire that shaped a defining chapter of his career. His Portuguese interpretations were first created for The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, directed by Wes Anderson, sparking a deep artistic connection with Bowie's work. After years of touring worldwide — and a final performance without a live audience during the 2020 pandemic — he returns to these songs in a special coastal live stream in São Paulo. Now, an edited version of that performance stands as a tribute to Bowie's enduring legacy.

Raul: O Início, o Fim e o Meio

Dolores Duran: O Coração da Noite

With a short and intense life, Dolores Duran left her name in the pantheon of great names in Brazilian music. Living in a time when women had to follow strict moral standards, Dolores had no doubts: she spent the night in bars and parties, drank, smoked and allowed herself to be free to relate to whoever she wanted, challenging the macho structure of the 1950s. With many archival footage and testimonials from friends, family and ex-boyfriends, the film tells the story of an important and little-remembered character.

Tribalistas

Tribalistas were a short-lived but popular brazilian musical trio consisting of Marisa Monte, Arnaldo Antunes and Carlinhos Brown. Their one-off collaboration resulted in the popular album Tribalistas, released in Brazil in late 2002 by EMI and in international territories in 2003. The album attained considerable popularity despite the group never performing any song on TV or giving any radio interviews. A DVD release featuring the 'making of' and all the tracks on the album was also released internationally. The song "Já Sei Namorar" was featured on the video game FIFA Football 2004 and the song "Velha Infancia" was used in a soap opera in Brazil called "Mulheres Apaixonadas" as its main theme.
