Maometto II (or Maometto secondo) is an 1820 opera in two acts by Gioachino Rossini to an Italian libretto by Cesare della Valle. Set in the 1470s during a time of war between the Turks and Venetians, the work was commissioned by the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. Della Valle based his libretto on his earlier play Anna Erizo. The name of the title character, Maometto II, refers to the real-life Ottoman Sultan and conqueror of Constantinople Mehmed II, who lived from 1432 to 1481.

Blind Guardian intended to record a DVD since early 1998, however, due to the band's high requirements, no existing metal festival had been considered suitable. Instead, Blind Guardian decided to create their own festival, back in their homeland. The First Blind Guardian Festival was held in Coburg, Germany, at June 16–17, 2003. It lasted 2 days, with the band playing during both nights. The entire show has been professionally recorded and subsequently released on a DVD entitled Imaginations through the Looking Glass in June 14, 2004.

Minor Threat played one of its last shows at Washington DC's 930 Club in June of 1983; they would only play once more in DC. Two years later, the tapes from the 930 show were edited together and Dischord Records released them as the Minor Threat Live VHS video in 1986. Along with the 40 minute 930 performance, the DVD includes a 1982 Minor Threat show in Camden, NJ, a clip of Minor Threat's 2nd ever show at DC Space in December 1980, and excerpts from a 1983 interview with vocalist, Ian MacKaye.

On September 1, 1990, at the Shoreline Amphitheater, the Garcia Band performed a particularly poignant kind of magic. A Grateful Dead show was originally scheduled for that date, but the Dead's brilliant, passionate keyboard player, Brent Mydland, had died of an overdose at age 37 in late July. Rather than cancel the gig, the Garcia Band stepped in to deliver one of their most heartfelt performances. The first DVD of the band, chronologically collects all the clips the band made between 1991 and 2002. A better illustration for the musical growth that Motorpsycho went through is difficult to find. On the second DVD you can find a recording of a concert that the Norwegians gave in 2002 in Paradiso. That Motorpsycho has a special bond with the Netherlands is evident from the documentary Norwegian Heroes that was broadcast by VPRO in 2000. This sympathetic film can be found in its entirety in this package. Hair Cuts is a great asset to the true Psychonaut, as the Motorpsycho fans like to call themselves.

By doing so, it also recounts how the most radical forms of musical expression were excluded from the major production and distribution networks as the libertarian ideal went out of fashion. Beyond its historical approach, the film follows Sunny Murray on current gigs, showing his daily struggle to perpetuate a musical genre which is still widely ignored by the general public.
