Liza Minnelli in concert at the New Orleans Theatre of the Performing Arts. This show was a combination of the two performances Minnelli did on November 24, 1979. Highlights include Minnelli singing "How Long Has This Been Going On?," "It's a Miracle," "True Love," "The Man I Love," "Some People," an old English folk ballad, and "Come in From the Rain". Liza also sings two songs from her recent Tony winning Broadway show "The Act" - a song and dance number called "Arthur in the Afternoon," with Roger Minami and the show-stopping "City Lights" with Minami and dancer Obba Babatunde. Another highlight is a medley of New York songs sung by Minnelli which culminates in one of signature songs "Theme from New York, New York". The evening concludes with Minnelli singing performing a scene from "Cabaret"; and singing "Cabaret," "Harvest Moon," and "The World Goes Round."

War Dancing tells the tale of Slammer, a small-time hood whose life changes when he is allowed to take part in a music video shoot. This gives Slammer the righteous anger he needs to improve his skills and show everybody he can besuccessful.

After killing the crooked mayor, a homicidal janitor named Abdullah goes to work for a butcher who has invented a new language for the town's planned futuristic theme park. However, complications arise when the pirates decide to marry the rest of the Major-General's daughters, themselves - and Frederic's birthdate turns out to be not all it seems. Following the success of the 1979 show and the financial benefits accruing to Amnesty from the spin-off movie, TV special and record albums – Cleese, Lewis and Walker planned the next show to be a more spectacular event. Cleese focused on broadening the comedic talent to be presented at the show. In addition to the Amnesty show stalwarts drawn from the Oxbridge/Monty Python/Beyond The Fringe orbit, he invited newcomers such as Rowan Atkinson’s colleagues from the BBC TV show Not the Nine O'Clock News including Pamela Stephenson and Griff Rhys Jones; comedian Victoria Wood and regional comic Jasper Carrott. Lewis secured a return appearance by Billy Connolly and a debut appearance by "alternative" comedian Alexei Sayle who Lewis had recently discovered and was managing. Building on the success of Pete Townshend's 1979 appearance Lewis recruited other rock musicians to perform at the 1981 show including Sting, Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Donovan and Bob Geldof.

Tibet – Mere mention of the word Tibet evokes images of a rich and magical country, its culture shrouded by a remote and inaccessible location. The music on this recording was composed and arranged by Mark Isham for the Windham Hill video, Tibet. It provides a look at the place called the “Roof of the World,” where the heavens and the earth meet, and where centuries old rhythms continue. It is a brief glimpse of vast stretches of empty, high plains and snowcapped peaks. The monasteries and the monks who live there are the last of an ever diminishing religious culture which has no parallel in the West.

Igor Sokolov has been acting as pioneer leader for children for years in a class five grades below him. Now, in tenth grade, he decides he must enroll to try to become an actor. The children are devastated and try to change his mind. Instead of try to be an actor, he should change his mind and study in order to be a future teacher. They are aware that not them but his future students will appreciate it. With that goal in mind, they create Igor's resume and go to teacher training college to try to publicize Igor's talent as an educator. Will they achieve their goal? That's something that shouldn't be told; better you try to discover it in the film.
